JAMSHEDPUR – Jordan Murray, a prolific forward, has returned to Jamshedpur FC on a one-year contract with a performance-based extension option.
The Australian, 28, is back with the team after being a key member of their 2021–22 ISL Shield-winning squad.
With a grin on his face, Murray said, "I’m overjoyed to be back at Jamshedpur FC!"
With three seasons of ISL experience under his belt, the forward has tallied eighteen goals and five assists.
Murray’s versatility was commended by head coach Khalid Jamil, who highlighted his ability to play as a lone striker as well as a second.
Throughout his career, Murray has played for Thai team Nakhon Ratchasima FC, Chennaiyin FC, and Kerala Blasters FC.
The Australian won the 2018 Golden Boot while starting his career with Bulli FC and APIA Leichhardt.
Murray will have competition, as Jamil noted, adding, "It’s a crucial time for him to prove his worth."
This acquisition is in line with Jamshedpur FC’s plan to bolster their team in preparation for the 2024–25 Indian Super League.
Murray’s comeback is anticipated to give the Men of Steel’s offense a substantial boost in firepower.
