Jharkhand Cabinet Approves 38 Proposals

The Jharkhand Cabinet has approved 38 significant proposals, including the provision of 200 units of free electricity to residents.

The government has also announced financial aid for families of security personnel affected by extremist violence.

RANCHI – Jharkhand’s Cabinet meeting on Thursday saw the approval of 38 key proposals, including 200 units of free electricity for residents.

The government has decided to provide significant support to families of security personnel martyred in extremist violence.

Financial Support for Martyrs’ Families

The families of security personnel who lost their lives in extremist violence will receive Rs 60 lakh, while the injured will have their full medical expenses covered by the government.

Additionally, Rs 5 lakh will be allocated for the education of martyrs’ children, and Rs 50,000 for transporting the bodies.

An official stated, "This initiative aims to provide comprehensive support to the families of our brave martyrs."

Free Electricity Scheme

Residents of Jharkhand will now receive 200 units of free electricity per month, a significant relief measure to reduce household expenses.

Development and Infrastructure Projects

Several development projects have been greenlit, including the construction of a high-security jail in Hazaribagh at an estimated cost of Rs 97.74 crore.

Funds have also been allocated for the smooth conduct of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and modernization of the Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Central Jail.

Compensation for Civilian Deaths

The cabinet has announced Rs 35 lakh compensation for families of civilians who die due to road accidents, malaria, or snake bites.

This measure aims to provide financial stability to affected families.

Educational Reforms

Under the National Education Policy 2020, the formation of the Jharkhand State Faculty Development Academy has been approved.

This will ensure the comprehensive implementation of educational reforms across the state.
