BJP Appeals for Higher Voter Turnout in Jamshedpur, Highlights Postal Ballot Option

Rajiv Ranjan Singh Addresses Voter Apathy and Postal Voting at Press Conference

At a recent press event, BJP’s Rajiv Ranjan Singh called for increased electoral participation in Jamshedpur, expressing concern over the declining voter turnout.

JAMSHEDPUR – The BJP’s District Public Relations Officer, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, led a press conference today focusing on the imperative for heightened voter engagement in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Singh pointed out that less than 60% of the electorate voted in the last two phases, with a notable absenteeism among Hindi-speaking urban youth often away in larger cities for education or work.

He highlighted that 20% to 25% of potential voters are missing out due to their residence outside Jamshedpur, stressing the importance of considering elections as significant as traditional festivals.

The press briefing also covered the availability of postal ballots for those unable to vote in person, such as military personnel, paramilitary forces, CRPF, district police, media, and government employees engaged in electoral duties.

Singh made a strong appeal to young voters, urging them to prioritize voting and participate actively in shaping the nation’s development trajectory.

By drawing parallels between voting and national festivals, Singh’s message was clear: increased voter awareness and participation are essential for democracy and national progress.
