Kolhan University Strict on Biometric Attendance; Aims to Curb Admin Fraud

Kolhan University issues a stern notice regarding mandatory biometric attendance to prevent administrative fraud and maintain workplace discipline.

JAMSHEDPUR – Kolhan University’s management has released a notification emphasizing the importance of biometric attendance for staff members.

The university registrar issued the notice, which insists on mandatory biometric attendance strictly at the staff members’ place of employment.

The notification, circulated on Saturday, comes in the wake of complaints about staff members visiting neighbouring universities to record their biometric attendance. This practice has caused discontent among the institution’s officials.

The notice specifies that if any staff member needs to be present at other institutions or offices for work purposes, they must provide a valid work order. Non-compliance will be considered administrative fraud and neglect of duty, possibly leading to suspension.

Additionally, the staff members have been encouraged to report any outsiders, that is, employees from other colleges, present in their premises to the university’s registrar.
