Demand action on mass promotion of PG Hindi students, threaten to lock down campus
University’s administrative vacancies blamed for ongoing academic challenges.
CHAIBASA – Student representatives from the District Student Front met with Kolhan University’s Controller of Examinations on Tuesday to address pressing academic concerns.
Sanatan Pinguwa, District Student Front President, stated, "The promotion of 76 students in the PG Hindi department based on a single paper is alarming. We won’t tolerate this gambling with students’ futures."
The student leaders threatened to lock down the university if the administration doesn’t address the issue within two days.
Pinguwa highlighted that key positions like Vice-Chancellor and Registrar have been vacant for two years, leading to administrative dysfunction.
"Students face unnecessary hassles for minor tasks due to this leadership vacuum," Pinguwa added.
Former Student Union Secretary Subodh Mahakud emphasized that rural and economically disadvantaged students are particularly affected by the university’s negligence.
The student leaders warned of large-scale protests if their concerns remain unaddressed.
This confrontation underscores ongoing tensions between the student body and Kolhan University administration.
The mass promotion issue in the PG Hindi department has become a focal point for broader grievances.
Students demand swift action to ensure academic integrity and protect their educational futures.
