Student organization demands transparency, re-examination over alleged paper leaks and result manipulation
Rally from Kolhan University to Tambo Chowk highlights concerns about fairness in competitive exams.
CHAIBASA – The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest rally on Tuesday against alleged irregularities in the NEET 2024 and NET examinations.
Led by NSUI Kolhan University President Veer Singh Balmuchu and District President Vivek Vishal, students marched from the university to Tambo Chowk.
Protesters burned an effigy of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during the demonstration.
This protest is for students’ rights and against tampering with NEET candidates’ futures,” stated Balmuchu.
Key demands include:
– Investigation into late registrations allowed after the official deadline
– Probe into suspicious perfect scores at certain exam centers
– Clarification on the process of awarding grace marks
– Re-examination if transparency cannot be ensured in the current results
“This isn’t just about 1,500 students, but the future of 2.4 million candidates nationwide,” Vishal emphasized.
NSUI leaders questioned the silence of NEET coaching institutions, suggesting a possible conspiracy with industrialists and the government.
The organization highlighted the NDA government’s track record of paper leaks, calling for concrete action.
Several NSUI office bearers and student supporters participated in the rally.
This protest reflects growing concerns about the integrity of high-stakes competitive exams in India.
