Rainfall Brings Relief to Parts of Jharkhand

Several districts experience showers, tempering high temperatures

Weather department issues yellow alert for thunderstorms in multiple areas.

RANCHI – Various districts across Jharkhand, including the Kolhan region, experienced rainfall on Thursday, providing some respite from the sweltering heat.

Jamshedpur and its surrounding areas received light showers, though the humid conditions persisted, causing discomfort to residents.

Daltonganj recorded the highest temperature in the state at 39.8 degrees Celsius, while all other districts remained below the 40-degree mark.

Jamshedpur registered a maximum temperature of 36.8 degrees, with Ranchi at 33.4 degrees, Saraikela-Kharsawan at 38.1 degrees, and West Singhbhum at 34.4 degrees.

The Ranchi Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for Friday, warning of thunderstorms and rain in several districts.

The alert covers Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Koderma, Giridih, Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Sahebganj, Pakur, Jamtara, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Latehar, Gumla, Simdega, Khunti, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Saraikela-Kharsawan.

Wind speeds are expected to reach 30 to 40 kilometers per hour during these weather events.

This forecast suggests a continuation of the monsoon’s gradual progression across the state, potentially bringing further relief from the summer heat.

Residents are advised to stay informed about local weather conditions and take necessary precautions during thunderstorms.

The varied rainfall pattern across Jharkhand highlights the region’s diverse microclimates as the monsoon season unfolds.
