Kolhan Region Experiences Light Showers, Heavy Rainfall Expected
Jharkhand sees slight temperature drop, Garhwa records highest at 40.9°C
Meteorological department predicts widespread rain across state in coming days.
RANCHI – Kolhan region, along with the rest of Jharkhand, experienced light showers on Tuesday, providing some respite from the heat.
Garhwa district recorded the highest temperature at 40.9°C, while Ramgarh received the most rainfall at 4.0 mm.
Jamshedpur’s maximum temperature was 39.5°C, with a minimum of 28.4°C.
Saraikela and West Singhbhum recorded highs of 39.6°C and 37.6°C respectively.
The Ranchi Meteorological Center forecasts heavy rainfall for several districts on June 26:
"Heavy rain is likely in Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, Sahebganj, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, and Saraikela-Kharsawan," a spokesperson stated.
On June 28 and 29, northwestern and central Jharkhand can expect significant rainfall.
This includes Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Koderma, Latehar, Lohardaga, Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti, and Ramgarh districts.
The anticipated rainfall is expected to bring further temperature relief across the state.
Farmers welcome the monsoon’s progression, crucial for agricultural activities.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions during heavy rainfall and potential thunderstorms.
