Major Development Works at Andul Station to Disrupt Train Services from June 29 to July 8, 2024

Train operations will be significantly affected due to development works at Andul Station in the Kharagpur Division, part of the Sankrail-Santragachi Link Line project.

The construction work at Andul Station, scheduled from June 29 to July 8, 2024, will cause multiple changes to train services, including cancellations, diversions, reschedulings, and short terminations.

JAMSHEDPUR – Extensive development work at Andul Station will disrupt train services in the Kharagpur Division from June 29 to July 8, 2024, due to the Sankrail-Santragachi Link Line project.

Numerous trains will be canceled during this period, affecting various routes.

The Howrah-Digha Tamralipta Express, Howrah-Barbil Jan Shatabdi Express, and Santragachi-Purulia Express are among those to be canceled on selected dates.

The Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express and Howrah-Digha Kandari Express will also face cancellations.

Additional Train Cancellations and Changes

Other impacted services include the Puri-Shalimar Dhauli Express, Shalimar-Bhojudih Aranyak Express, and Puri-Howrah Shatabdi Express. Various trains, such as the Tatanagar-Howrah Steel Express, will see suspensions from July 6 to 8, 2024. Additionally, the Jagdalpur-Howrah Samaleswari Express and Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Express will face multiple days of cancellations.

Diversions and Reschedulings

Several trains will be rerouted via Asansol, Adra, and other stations, including the Silchar-Thiruvananthapuram Express and Dibrugarh-Kanniyakumari Express.

The Hatia-Howrah Express and Bokaro Steel City-Howrah Express will have revised departure times. Trains such as the Howrah-Haldia Local and Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express will also be rescheduled.

Short Terminations and Originations

Certain trains will be short terminated at Kharagpur, such as the Bhadrak-Howrah Baghajatin Express and Adra-Howrah Rani Shiromoni Express.

Suburban EMU local trains will also face cancellations on various dates during the development period.
