JAMSHEDPUR – Addressing the longstanding issue of the implementation of the Khatian of 1932, Soren underscored the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s (JMM) unwavering resolve to pursue this matter diligently until the rights enshrined in the document are fully realized.
Emphasizing the preservation and promotion of regional languages spoken by indigenous communities, Soren announced plans to reinstate language-wise primary teachers and commence education initiatives from June onwards, celebrating linguistic diversity integral to Jharkhand’s cultural fabric.
Condemning Central Government’s Withholding of Funds
Expressing dismay over the central government’s withholding of funds amounting to Rs 136 crore earmarked for Jharkhand, Soren condemned the delay in fulfilling promises, particularly regarding housing schemes.
Despite persistent efforts by the state government, the promised Prime Minister Housing Scheme failed to materialize, prompting the implementation of the Abua Housing Scheme, which has already benefited over two lakh families, with plans to extend it to a total of twenty lakh families.
Contrasting Welfare Approaches: BJP vs. Coalition Government
Highlighting the contrasting approaches to welfare between the BJP and the coalition government, Soren pointed to initiatives such as issuing green ration cards to twenty lakh families and providing 125 units of free electricity to thirty lakh families.
Additionally, efforts are underway to expand the Sarvajan Pension Yojana, ensuring pension coverage from the age of fifty onwards, and establish smart and model schools at the Panchayat and block levels to enhance educational opportunities.
Honoring Indigenous Heritage and Reaffirming Support for Samir Mohanty
In a bid to honor indigenous heritage, Soren pledged to beautify tribal temples and Goramthans, reflecting the government’s commitment to preserving cultural landmarks.
The rally concluded with a reaffirmation of support for Samir Mohanty and the INDI Alliance, echoing Soren’s vision for inclusive development and empowerment in Jamshedpur and beyond.
Condemning BJP’s Alleged Deceit and Manipulation
In a separate address, Chief Minister Champai Soren condemned the BJP’s alleged history of deceit and manipulation in Jharkhand, accusing the party of exploiting the state’s abundant mineral wealth while betraying its tribal inhabitants.
Soren alleged that the BJP retaliated against former Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s welfare initiatives by implicating him in a fabricated case, resulting in his unjust imprisonment.
Asserting the need for accountability and change, Soren rallied the populace to oust the BJP from power and support JMM candidate Samir Mohanty of the INDI Alliance in the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha elections, signaling a decisive rejection of BJP’s alleged malpractices and a mandate for progress and justice.
As the election campaign intensifies, Chief Minister Champai Soren’s rallies underscore the JMM and INDI Alliance’s commitment to the welfare and empowerment of tribal and indigenous communities in Jharkhand, while condemning the BJP’s alleged misdeeds and seeking a resounding victory for their candidate Samir Mohanty.
