NEET Paper Leak Mastermind Linked to Ranchi, 6 Arrested in Deoghar
Bihar EOU Investigates Sikandar Yadavendu’s Connections in Jharkhand Capital
Exam fraud suspect’s ties to political figures and local businesses under scrutiny.
RANCHI – The mastermind behind the recent NEET paper leak, Sikandar Yadavendu, has been found to have significant connections to Ranchi, prompting an investigation by the Bihar Economic Offence Unit (EOU).
Yadavendu owns a house in Bariatu, Ranchi, and his son operates a shop in the Harmu area.
"The suspect’s ties to Ranchi are being thoroughly investigated," stated a source.
Reports suggest Yadavendu has close links to a former Bihar Chief Minister too.
The EOU team detained six individuals in Deoghar, all reportedly from Bihar’s Nalanda district.
These suspects were found hiding near Deoghar AIIMS, posing as laborers.
Yadavendu, originally from Samastipur district, rose from a junior engineer position to having influential connections within a decade.
He secured a job through the Bihar State Staff Selection Commission in 2012 and allegedly helped relatives obtain positions.
The NEET paper leak has sparked nationwide outrage over exam malpractices.
Investigators are probing Yadavendu’s extensive network and its potential involvement in other fraudulent activities.
The case highlights the need for stricter measures to ensure the integrity of competitive examinations across India.
