JAMSHEDPUR – As preparations intensify for the 10th International Yoga Day, Jamshedpur is set to host a massive yoga camp at Agrico Transport Ground on June 21, organized by Basti Vikas Samiti.
The event is expected to draw thousands of participants from various parts of the city.
In a press conference held on Wednesday, Basti Vikas Samiti shared detailed information about the upcoming programs and preparations for International Yoga Day.
Committee President Khemlal Chaudhary announced that the day would be celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Basti Vikas Samiti.
The group yoga practice will commence at 5:30 am at the Agrico Transport Ground.
Trained yoga gurus from Purbi Singhbhum Mahila Patanjali Yoga Samiti will lead the session, guiding participants through important yoga exercises and explaining the significance of yoga for a healthy life.
Chaudhary emphasized the importance of yoga, stating, "Everyone will be given the mantra to stay healthy through various yogic activities and exercises."
The committee aims to inspire the residents of Jamshedpur to adopt yoga as a regular practice.
This year’s theme for International Yoga Day has been designated as ‘Yoga for Women Empowerment.
The committee has extended invitations through various channels, urging people to join the yoga camp and to bring their own yoga mats or sheets for convenience.
The Basti Vikas Samiti’s initiative reflects the city’s enthusiasm for promoting health and wellness through yoga.
