Victim Family in Ulidih Seeks Protection After Violent Attack

Family Submits Memorandum to SP Following Assault Near Shankosai Road

A family in Ulidih, Jamshedpur, seeks police protection after being assaulted by local youths. They submitted a memorandum to the SP following multiple attacks near their home.

JAMSHEDPUR – On Tuesday, a victim family from Ulidih approached the Superintendent of Police, submitting a memorandum seeking protection after being violently assaulted by local youths.

Geeta Devi, who owns a clothing shop near the Ulidih Durga Temple, recounted the events. On June 16, at around 9:30 pm, she and her son Goda were closing their shop when they noticed several boys from the locality parking their car near the shop and consuming drugs.

Goda approached them, asking them to park the car further away. In response, 10-15 youths attacked them, and Geeta Devi, who tried to intervene, was also pushed.

Despite reporting the incident to the police station that night, their complaint went unheard.

The family claimed that the following day, the same boys, identified as A Sao, Nj Sao, and their friends, entered their house with weapons and assaulted them again.

Fearing for their lives, the family managed to escape and reached the SP office to plead for protection.

Geeta Devi emphasized the urgency of their request, stating, "We are living in constant fear. We need protection to ensure our safety."

The family hopes that the authorities will take swift action to prevent further attacks and ensure their security.
