Tata Steel UISL has announced a comprehensive Community Engagement Drive on World Dengue Day to combat dengue.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (Tata Steel UISL) has launched a drive to fight dengue, highlighting the importance of community involvement.

The drive features a special awareness session and the slogan “Palti Maar,” encouraging citizens to search for and eliminate mosquito breeding sources.

Present at the event were Dr. Jujhar Majhi, Civil Surgeon cum CMO, East Singhbhum, R. K. Singh, General Manager, Town O&M, and Dr. Vijaya Jha, Senior Registrar at Tata Main Hospital, along with other health officials and school authorities.

Citizen Responsibilities

Residents are urged to conduct weekly inspections and turn over containers where mosquitoes may breed, preventing the spread of adult mosquitoes.

Participants can upload pictures of their inspections through a QR code to win gifts from Tata Steel UISL.

The initiative aims to raise awareness and promote preventive measures against dengue.

“The involvement of every citizen is crucial for the success of this initiative,” said Dr. Jujhar Majhi.

The slogan “Abki Bar, Palti Maar” emphasizes the importance of weekly inspections.

Over 300 banners will be placed across the city, and live samples of mosquito larvae and pupae will be displayed to educate participants on the mosquito life cycle.
