JAMSHEDPUR – With the rise of dengue cases, people in Jamshedpur are being urged to take precautionary measures.

To minimize the risk of being infected, citizens are being advised to use mosquito repellents, wear long-sleeved clothing, and use mosquito nets while sleeping.

Seeing a doctor is strongly recommended if one starts to show symptoms like high fever, severe headache, muscle and joint pain, rashes, and mild bleeding.

The city’s health officials and leaders are seeking the public’s cooperation to combat the dengue menace.

They are advising everyone to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings, manage waste disposal appropriately, and immediately report potential mosquito breeding sites to the authorities.

Cleaning drives are being intensified by the municipal authorities to curb the spread of dengue. They have dispatched teams to clear stagnant water sources like open sewers, abandoned containers, and construction sites in several districts of the city.

Frequent insecticide fogging and spraying are also being conducted to keep the mosquito population in check.

The last 24 hours saw 13 new dengue cases in the Jamshedpur region, raising concerns among health officials.

The unexpected surge in cases has triggered local residents’ alarm, prompting officials to redouble their efforts to halt the spread of the disease.

In response to the surge of dengue patients, Jamshedpur’s hospitals and health institutions are ramping up their preparations.

They have stockpiled necessary medical supplies, such as diagnostic kits and vital drugs. Specialized medical teams are being brought in to manage the increased number of patients needing medical attention.

To educate the public about dengue prevention and control, local administrations have initiated community awareness campaigns.

Health professionals are conducting door-to-door visits, distributing leaflets, and holding seminars. They are highlighting the importance of removing stagnant water, a prime breeding ground for disease-carrying mosquitoes.

As part of their continuous efforts to control the disease’s spread, health experts are closely monitoring the situation and intensifying their initiatives.

The primary focus is on finding and treating infected individuals while carrying out measures to prevent mosquito breeding.
