NTHA Secures Victory in Penalty Shootout Against Bapu Club
NTHA emerged as champions in the 1st Hockey Ranchi League after a thrilling final against Bapu Club, concluding the league with remarkable performances.
RANCHI – The inaugural Hockey Ranchi League saw NTHA crowned as champions after an intense final against Bapu Club on June 2.
The 1st Hockey Ranchi League, held from April 20 to June 2, showcased exceptional hockey skills at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium.
Numerous men’s and women’s teams from across the state participated, vying for the top spot.
In their first match on April 21, NTHA defeated Team Jadur Akhara Khunti with an impressive 11-0 score.
The team continued their winning streak, securing an 8-0 victory against Team CINI.
Despite challenging weather conditions, players like Naveen Kerketta, Pradeep, Tushar Parmar, and MD. Jaeed showcased outstanding performance.
On May 12, NTHA claimed a commanding 9-0 win against Team Hulhundu Brothers.
Mangra, Dilbar, and Deepak each scored two goals, with additional contributions from Sukhnath, Simon, and Pradeep.
Their teamwork and determination solidified their dominance in the league.
As the league progressed, NTHA defeated Team Jharkhand 11 with a 2-0 win on May 19, thanks to Simon Bodra’s double goals.
In their fifth match, they secured another 2-0 victory against Team Gumla, with goals from Kunal Yadav and Jaymashi Tuti.
These wins propelled NTHA to the semi-finals.
In the semi-final, NTHA triumphed over Team Faguwa XI with a 6-0 score.
Simon Bodra, Deepak, Sem Munda, Adison, and Dilbar contributed to the victory, leading NTHA to the finals.
The grand finale on June 2 witnessed an electrifying atmosphere with distinguished guests like Bhola Nath Singh and Gurmeet Singh Rao.
NTHA faced Bapu Club in a nail-biting final, emerging victorious in the penalty shootout to claim the championship title.
The league not only celebrated the spirit of hockey but also aimed to foster its growth at grassroots and professional levels.
