Air Conditioner Fire in Golmuri Highlights Electrical Safety Concerns
As Jamshedpur faces relentless heat, fire incidents have become more frequent, with the latest occurring on Monday at Golmuri Lohar Line.
JAMSHEDPUR – A fire broke out in the indoor unit of an air conditioner at Ramashankar Sharma’s residence in Golmuri Lohar Line around 1:45 pm, causing temporary chaos.
Local residents promptly alerted the fire department upon seeing the flames.
Firefighters arrived quickly and managed to extinguish the fire.
Mohammad Ansari from the fire department confirmed that the fire was under control shortly after their arrival, limiting the damage to the AC unit.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the fire was confined to the AC unit, which was completely destroyed by the flames.
Initial investigations suggest that a short circuit caused the fire.
This incident underscores the importance of electrical safety, particularly during intense heatwaves that can put extra strain on equipment.
