Fire Destroys Rs 30 Lakh Worth of Goods at Chandni Chowk Computer Shop

Suspected Short Circuit Sparks Devastating Blaze in Warehouse

A severe blaze has razed the warehouse of a computer solution shop in Chandni Chowk, causing significant losses.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic incident, a fire broke out at a computer solution shop’s warehouse in Chandni Chowk, under the Parsudih police station, leading to the destruction of goods valued at around Rs 30 lakh.

The fire, believed to have started due to a short circuit, engulfed approximately 50 computers, air conditioners, and other stored items.

The fire was detected around 1 AM on Monday night, prompting an immediate response from the fire department.

Firefighters battled the flames for about two hours before bringing the situation under control.

Abhay Tiwari, the shop owner who resides above the warehouse, recounted that his wife first noticed the fire while attending to household chores.

Despite the quick efforts of family members and neighbors to extinguish the flames, the damage was extensive.

Tiwari reported that the fire destroyed 50 laptops, numerous computer accessories, and household appliances including a refrigerator, television, washing machine, and air conditioner.

He suspects that the fire was caused by a short circuit, possibly linked to a recent installation of an Airtel fiber connection, replacing the previous Jio fiber connection.

The exact cause of the short circuit is still under investigation.

The Parsudih police are currently investigating the incident to determine the precise cause of the fire.
