Violent Clash Erupts After Fatal Accident in Sitaramdera, Jamshedpur
An uncontrolled lorry crashed into shops near the Bhuiyandih crematorium roundabout in Jamshedpur, resulting in one death and two serious injuries.
JAMSHEDPUR – A tragic accident occurred late Sunday night when an uncontrolled lorry, number JH 05 DC 9206, rammed into shops near the Bhuiyandih crematorium roundabout under Sitaramdera police station.
The incident led to the death of Guddu Bhuiya, while two others were seriously injured.
Both injured individuals were taken to MGM Hospital, where their conditions are reported to be critical.
The local residents, enraged by the incident, vandalized the lorry and assaulted the driver.
When the police arrived, the crowd also attacked the police jeep.
The police reached the scene approximately 15 minutes after the incident and attempted to calm the angry mob.
However, the crowd responded by pelting stones at the officers, forcing them to retreat.
Additional police forces have since been called in from the control room.
DSP Bhola Prasad and other police officials are currently stationed at the site.
Former minister Dulal Bhuiyan, a resident of the area, also arrived to speak with the locals and helped to defuse the situation.
The lorry involved in the accident has been seized by the police.
This incident highlights the need for better traffic control and community relations in the area.
Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the accident and take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
The violent reaction of the locals indicates a deep-seated frustration with traffic safety issues in the region.
