Railway Rescue Team Responds Swiftly to High Tension Current Accident

Two passengers were severely burnt when high tension current surged through the Neelachal Express between Suisa and Tiruldih stations, leading to one confirmed death.

CHANDIL – A tragic incident occurred on the Neelachal Express on Saturday morning when a high tension current passed through the train, severely injuring two passengers.

The incident took place around 8 am between Suisa and Tiruldih stations.

Sources report that one passenger has succumbed to injuries, though official confirmation from the railway is pending.

The injured passengers were reportedly sitting at the gate of the train when an overhead electric wire broke and fell, causing the current to pass through the entire bogie.

Several passengers experienced electric shocks due to the incident.

All injured individuals were transported to Bagmundii Hospital for treatment.

The railway rescue team promptly left for the site upon receiving the information.

Panic ensued among the passengers following the accident.

Senior railway officials also rushed to the scene to manage the situation.

By around 10 am, the train was cleared to continue to its destination.

This incident has raised concerns about the safety of railway infrastructure and the need for prompt maintenance.

Further investigation is expected to determine the exact cause of the wire breakage.

Authorities are urged to implement stringent safety measures to prevent such accidents in the future.
