JAMSHEDPUR – In the early hours of Friday, a catastrophic fire consumed two hotels situated on Tank Road in Mango, leaving behind a trail of destruction and shattered dreams.

The cause of the conflagration, which began at around 3:30 am, remains shrouded in uncertainty, with one of the proprietors expressing disbelief at how it could have started despite all stoves being turned off before bed.

BJP leader Vikas Singh visited the location following the calamity to understand the situation and offer support to those affected, who shared their distress over the overwhelming loss.

One of the victims, who had been running a food and breakfast establishment for a decade and a half, found himself suddenly bereft of his livelihood, which had sustained his family for years.

The inferno rapidly spread through the hotels, owned by Shibu Pal and Jhantu Modak, despite their prompt response upon being alerted by nearby residents.

Although firefighters arrived swiftly and worked tirelessly to quell the flames, by the time the blaze was extinguished, all possessions within the hotels had been incinerated.

Pal and Modak had rushed to the scene immediately after being informed of the dire situation by local inhabitants, wasting no time in alerting the fire department.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many coming together to assist those impacted as they grapple with the challenges of piecing their lives back together.

Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the origins of the fire to ascertain if any preventative steps can be taken to avert similar tragedies in the future.

The owners are left grappling with the aftermath of the incident, their livelihoods reduced to ashes in a matter of hours.
