17-Year-Old Girl Student Murdered in Dhanbad, Suspect Hospitalized After Self-Inflicted Injury
Police suspect a love affair or land dispute angles as possible motives for the killing.
Police are investigating the murder of 17-year-old girl in Dhanbad, possibly linked to a love affair or land dispute, while the suspect is hospitalized.
DHANBAD – In the Palaiyadih village of Dhanbad’s Barwadda police station area, a 17-year-old girl, a student at Gandhi Memorial Plus Two High School, was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon.
After the attack, suspect Vishal Rajwar allegedly attempted to cut his own throat and was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Police quickly arrived at the scene, sending the girl’s body for post-mortem and transporting Rajwar to SNMMCH Dhanbad for treatment.
According to reports, the girl was returning home from school when she was attacked by Rajwar, a young man from the same village.
Afterward, he attempted to take his own life.
The police, led by DSP Shankar Kamti and SHO Sunil Kumar Ravi, are investigating the case, suspecting the murder could be linked to either a love affair or a land dispute.
Every possible angle is being examined as Dhanbad SP also visited the crime scene.
Rajwar remains in the hospital under medical supervision as the police continue their investigation.
