A 30-year-old land businessman, Lalu Pradhan, was brutally murdered with a sword in Govindpur village under Gamharia police station in Seraikela Kharsawan district on Sunday night.

SERAIKELA – In a shocking incident, 30-year-old land businessman Lalu Pradhan was murdered with a sword in Govindpur village under Gamharia police station in Seraikela Kharsawan district last night.

The police arrived at the scene after receiving information and took possession of the body, sending it for post-mortem.

The two accused are reportedly absconding.

The police have detained the family members of both suspects for interrogation.

According to reports, Lalu Pradhan was involved in buying and selling special land and had a dispute with the two accused, who are also in the salt and land business.

Late on Sunday night, the two accused called Lalu for a discussion.

They ambushed and attacked Lalu with a sword and a stick, resulting in his immediate death.

Following the incident, the two accused fled the scene.

The Gamharia police station team reached the spot, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem.

Family members of the accused have been detained for questioning.

The murder has caused a sensation in the area.

It is also reported that Lalu’s uncle, Niranjan Pradhan, was recently attacked but narrowly escaped.

Now, the murder of his nephew, Lalu Pradhan, has become a major topic of discussion in the locality.

The police are actively investigating the case to apprehend the suspects and uncover the details of the dispute.
