JMM Leaders and Bengali Community Celebrate Nazrul Jayanti and Discuss Election Strategies

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Champai Soren, along with JMM Central General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya, held a crucial meeting with various institutions to garner support for JMM (India Alliance) candidate Samir Mohanty in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

JAMSHEDPUR – Chief Minister Champai Soren and JMM Central General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya met with representatives of various institutions on Wednesday to rally support for JMM candidate Samir Mohanty in the Lok Sabha elections.

The meeting included discussions with members of the Bengali community, culminating in participation at the Nazrul Jayanti celebration organized by Banga Bandhu in Bistupur, Jamshedpur.

Health Minister Banna Gupta, MLA Mangal Kalindi, and other notable figures attended the event, where guests were honored with flower bouquets and shawls.

Jharkhand Bangabhashi Coordination Committee President Vikas Mukherjee, Milani President Shekhar Dey, and Bengal Club President Tapas Mitra were among the prominent attendees.

During the program, Chief Minister Soren assured that Bengali, Odia, and tribal language teachers would be reinstated by June after the Lok Sabha elections.

He also announced plans to establish a Bangla Academy, emphasizing the importance of linguistic diversity to Jharkhand’s identity.

Soren highlighted Jharkhand’s mineral wealth and the state’s untapped developmental potential, expressing optimism for future progress under local leadership.

He appealed for thoughtful voting decisions in the upcoming elections, stressing the significance of this period.

JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya reiterated that cultural platforms should not be used for political discussions, but acknowledged the ongoing political battle.

Bhattacharya underscored the annual celebrations of Netaji Jayanti, Swami Vivekananda, and Tagore Jayanti, honoring their legacies.

Another event at Milani Hall saw Chief Minister Soren addressing the Bengali community, urging them to make informed decisions in the elections.

Soren praised the Bengali community’s historical cooperation and called for continued support for the India Alliance.

He emphasized the need for thoughtful decisions and assured that the community’s backing would strengthen the organization.

The meeting concluded with an appeal from Chief Minister Soren for votes in favor of India Alliance candidate Samir Mohanty.
