Tata Steel Hosts 10th Jamshedpur Half Marathon
3,834 Runners Participate in Multi-Category Event with Strong Women’s Representation

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel organized the 10th edition of Tata Steel Jamshedpur Run on November 30, 2025.
The event attracted 3,834 participants across multiple categories. Moreover, 932 women and 2,902 men registered for the run. The half marathon entered its second year of operations.
TV Narendran, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel, flagged off the event. Ruchi Narendran accompanied him at the ceremony. In addition, D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President of Corporate Services, attended.
Dr Vinita Singh, General Manager of Medical Services, participated too. Meanwhile, Rituraj Sinha, Managing Director of Tata Steel UISL, joined the inauguration. Furthermore, Ujjal Chakraborti, Executive-in-Charge of Tinplate, was present.
The leaders praised the community response to the milestone edition. However, they emphasized sport’s role in promoting health. On the other hand, inclusion and civic pride received special mention.
Mohit Yadav won the men’s half marathon category. He completed the distance in 1:04:05 hours. Besides, Sachin Yadav finished second with 1:04:15 timing.
Ravi Kumar Pal secured third position at 1:04:59. Additionally, Shubham Sindhu clocked 1:05:18 for fourth place. Dhananjay Mahato rounded off top five with 1:16:05.
Bharti Nain dominated the women’s half marathon event. She finished first with 1:16:38 timing. Moreover, Renu Singh claimed second spot at 1:18:38.
Anjali Patidar completed the course in 1:21:03. Meanwhile, Anita Das finished fourth with 1:27:27. Furthermore, Gudiya Kumari secured fifth position at 1:37:08.
The 10-km men’s category witnessed competitive racing. Balram emerged victorious with 30:06 timing. However, Navratan finished close behind at 30:13.
Prashant Choudhary secured third place with 30:23. In addition, Mohan Sangwan clocked 30:42 for fourth. Chandan Yadav completed top five at 32:12.
Jyoti won the 10-km women’s race decisively. She recorded 36:16 as her finishing time. Besides, Sangeeta Pal followed closely with 36:22.
Anamika Devi finished third at 39:14. On the other hand, Pano Baskey clocked 42:45. Shobha Mahato rounded off top five with 44:22.
The 5-km men’s category attracted young runners. Abhishek topped the charts with 14:47 timing. Moreover, Bablu Tudu finished second at 14:53.
Spratap Rao secured third position with 15:28. Meanwhile, Shiv Gupta clocked 16:09 for fourth. Furthermore, Baghrai Murmu completed top five at 16:14.
Manali Singha dominated the 5-km women’s race. She finished first with 18:55 timing. However, Manisha claimed second spot at 20:56.
Dilki Pareya secured third place with 21:18. In addition, China Gope finished fourth at 22:04. Laxmi Murmu rounded off top five with 22:32.
The participation numbers reflected growing running culture. The 10-km category drew 1,398 participants. Besides, 957 runners competed in 5-km distance.
The 2-km fun run attracted 1,047 participants. On the other hand, 432 runners attempted half marathon. Women’s representation remained strong across all categories.
Tata Copper served as Hydration Partner for the event. Meanwhile, Tata Gluco+ provided energy support to runners. Furthermore, Ginger Hotels acted as Hospitality Partner.
Koru Foundation partnered for sustainability initiatives specifically. The organizers implemented near zero-waste protocols. However, single-use materials were minimized throughout the venue.
Proper waste segregation systems were established at the route. Moreover, recycling measures ensured environmental responsibility. The run has evolved into signature community initiative.
The event brings together diverse groups on common platform. Employees, families, citizens and athletes participate together. In addition, the half marathon category continues expanding annually.
Tata Steel remains committed to promoting healthy lifestyles. The initiative showcases Jamshedpur as active steel city. Furthermore, the event reinforces the city’s position as distance running hub.
