E Dharma Rao Promoted to Chief Advisor of Telugu Community Welfare Association
Jharkhand Telugu Sena (JTS) has announced the appointment of Raman Acharya as its new president, succeeding E Dharma Rao, who has been elevated to the position of Chief Advisor of the Jharkhand Telugu Community Welfare Association (TCWA).
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand Telugu Community Welfare Association (TCWA) Central Committee Nagpur has officially announced a leadership change within the Jharkhand Telugu Sena (JTS), with Raman Acharya taking over as the new president.
E Dharma Rao, the outgoing president who successfully led JTS for three years, has been promoted to the role of Chief Advisor of TCWA with immediate effect.
The announcement was made by PSN Murthy, Founder President of TCWA Central Committee Nagpur, who expressed full confidence in Ramana Acharya’s abilities to lead the organization with dedication and innovation.
Murthy called upon JTS members to rally behind the new president and work collaboratively to advance the society’s interests for the benefit of all.
He also conveyed his best wishes to Raman Acharya as he assumes his new responsibilities.
Despite financial constraints, JTS members have consistently strived to promote Telugu culture and tradition within the state.
The organization has made concerted efforts to revive the nearly extinct tradition of celebrating Bommala Koluvu (display of dolls during the Durga Puja festival), which was once widely observed among the community.
JTS has also initiated online Telugu language classes across the state, with more than two dozen community members of all ages and genders now able to read and write in Telugu.
The third batch of online Telugu language classes commenced in April, with a 74-year-old resident from Kadama being the oldest student enrolled to learn the language’s fundamentals.
