Family Dispute Turns Fatal as Man Murders Wife and Two Daughters

In a horrifying incident in Ladurabasa Barkundiya Kursi village, a man killed his wife and two young daughters following a domestic dispute, leaving the community in shock.

CHAIBASA – A devastating family tragedy unfolded in Ladurabasa Barkundiya Kursi village under Mufassil police station’s jurisdiction, where three lives were claimed in a domestic conflict.

Gurucharan Padeya, reportedly intoxicated, attacked his family members during a heated argument at dinner around 9:30 pm on Monday.

He assaulted his 20-year-old wife, Jano Budiuli, and their daughters, five-year-old Renuka Padeya and one-year-old Sumi Padeya.

Using a sharp weapon, he inflicted fatal injuries on their heads and faces, resulting in their immediate deaths.

Authorities were alerted about the incident at approximately 10:00 pm.

Police swiftly responded, securing the scene and transporting the victims to Sadar Hospital for postmortem examinations, conducted on Tuesday.

The Mufassil police have taken Gurucharan Padeya into custody, confirming that the brutal act was spurred by a domestic dispute intensified by alcohol.

The community remains in mourning as investigations continue, highlighting the tragic consequences of domestic violence.
