Mango Shaken by Gunshots, Amarnath Gang Member Guddu Pandey Escapes Firing
City SP Mukesh Lunayat identifies incident as gang war, assures swift action against criminals
The city of Jamshedpur was left shaken last night as a gang war erupted in the Mango area, with criminals armed with modern weapons targeting the house of Guddu Pandey, a member of the Amarnath gang, on Dimna Road.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Model Code of Conduct being in force is no bar to gangs underneath. The city witnessed a shocking incident in connection with an ongoing turf war between two gangs of criminals.
Last night, tThe assailants fired dozens of rounds at Pandey’s residence, with one bullet grazing his thigh as he narrowly escaped the attack.
The incident has raised concerns about the rampage of criminals in the city, despite the implementation of the code of conduct.
City Superintendent of Police Mukesh Lunayat swiftly reached the crime scene to investigate the incident and scanned the nearby CCTV footage for leads.
“It was a gang war, and the criminals have been identified. We will apprehend those involved in the incident very soon,” assured Lunayat.
The attack on Guddu Pandey is believed to be linked to the murder of Amarnath, the main leader of the Amarnath gang, who was killed in Deoghar last Sawan.
Other gangs in the city are reportedly carrying out such incidents to assert their supremacy and fill the power vacuum left by Amarnath’s death.
The brazen attack in a residential area has left the residents of Mango in a state of shock and fear, as they demand stricter action against the criminal elements operating in the city.
The Jamshedpur police have intensified their efforts to crack down on gang-related activities and have assured the public that the culprits will be brought to justice swiftly.
The incident has once again highlighted the need for a more robust law and order mechanism in the city to ensure the safety and security of its citizens, especially in the face of rising gang violence.
