SECR’s Raipur Division Achieves Record Rs 5000 Crore Freight Revenue Amid Train Cancellations
DRM Sanjeev Kumar Celebrates Milestone with Departmental Officials and Encourages Better Performance
The Raipur division of South East Central Railway (SECR) has achieved a significant milestone by earning Rs 5000 crore from freight transportation, despite the ongoing cancellation of trains due to railway track maintenance.
RAIPUR – The record-breaking performance in loading was celebrated by DRM Raipur Sanjeev Kumar, who cut a cake alongside departmental officials to mark the achievement.
Addressing the gathering, Kumar emphasized the significance of this accomplishment for both the division and the zone, noting that the loading of Rs 5000 crore up to March 23, 2024, of the financial year 2023-24 represents the best performance to date.
The Raipur division’s success comes at a time when train cancellations have become a regular occurrence due to ongoing railway track maintenance work.
Despite these challenges, the division has managed to maintain its position as a leader in freight loading among the divisions of SECR.
"This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our railway employees," Kumar stated, expressing his happiness during the cake-cutting ceremony held in the control room.
The DRM encouraged the railway workers to continue their efforts towards better performance, emphasizing that the division’s achievements are a result of collective participation and equal contribution from all employees.
"Our success is a product of teamwork and the commitment of every individual in the division," Kumar added, acknowledging the role played by each departmental head present at the occasion.
