Manipal Tata Medical College, Jamshedpur, inaugurates NCC and NSS units, marking a significant step in promoting leadership, character, and community service among medical students.
JAMSHEDPUR – Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) celebrated the launch of its National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) units, showcasing its commitment to holistic education and community involvement.
Established to nurture discipline, leadership, and a spirit of adventure, the NCC unit at MTMC offers students the chance to join various wings including the Army, Navy, and Air Force, fostering responsible citizenship.
The NSS unit, aimed at promoting social welfare and community service, enables students to actively engage in nation-building and societal development activities.
The inaugural ceremony featured Chief Guest Col. Vinay Ahuja and Guest of Honor Lt. Col. G.K. Mishra, who highlighted the significance of these units in shaping well-rounded healthcare professionals.
Dr. Neelam Goyal and Dr. Sachin Kumar Patil, along with NSS student volunteers, played key roles in organizing the event, supported by the college’s administrative staff.
