BJP Government Enhances Protection for New Member

Following her transition from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha to BJP, Sita Soren receives Z Category security, reflecting heightened protection measures.

RANCHI – In a significant security upgrade, Sita Soren, the elder daughter-in-law of Shibu Soren and MLA from Jama assembly constituency, has been granted Z Category security after joining the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Previously under Y Category security, Sita Soren’s protection level was elevated by the central government, marking her as one of the few in Jharkhand to receive such high-level security.

Currently, six individuals in Jharkhand, including Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Champai Soren, enjoy Z Plus category security, with Sita Soren now under the Z category, entailing deployment of 33 soldiers for her safety.

The Union Home Ministry, after periodically reviewing the security arrangements of leaders, decided to enhance Sita Soren’s security following her political shift and the implications thereof.

Sita Soren’s departure from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and subsequent induction into the BJP have been pivotal, warranting a reassessment of her security needs amidst the changing political landscape.

This move underscores the government’s protocol of adjusting security categories based on risk assessments and the individual’s prominence in public and political spheres.
