JPSC Modifies Exam Centers Ahead of Civil Services Prelims Exam

3.50 Lakh Candidates to Appear for 342 Posts on March 17

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has announced changes to the examination centers just before the preliminary examination of Civil Services, which is scheduled to take place on March 17.

RANCHI – The JPSC has effected some changes in the examination centres hours before the preliminary examination set to be held on March 17.

According to the information released by JPSC, the center code 3226 of Baridih High School, East Singhbhum, has been changed to ABM College, Golmuri, Jamshedpur, and the new center code 3279 has been assigned to Ramakrishna Mission English School, Bistupur.

The Commission has also released the detailed addresses of five examination centers, including Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College, Government Middle School Latehar, Mount View School Dimna Road Mango, Government Plus Two High School Dhanbad, and Adarsh Middle School Devgaon West Singhbhum.

Exam to be Conducted in Two Shifts

The JPSC Civil Services PT examination will be conducted in two shifts on Sunday, March 17. The first shift exam will be held from 10 am to 12 noon, while the second shift exam will take place from 2 pm to 4 pm. Candidates have been advised to reach the examination centers one hour before the scheduled time.

Preliminary Exam to Consist of Two Papers

The preliminary examination will consist of two papers, each carrying 200 marks. Both papers will be objective and cover General Studies. The merit list for the main examination will be determined based on the candidates’ performance in the preliminary exam, with the Commission declaring the results 15 times the number of advertised posts.
