CM Soren unveils massive infrastructure plans for Jharkhand
Jharkhand CM Champai Soren kickstarts bridge and development projects in Jamtara, marking a significant boost for local infrastructure and economic growth.
RANCHI – Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren inaugurated a series of infrastructure projects in Jamtara district on Sunday.
He laid the foundation for the Virgram-Barbendia four-lane pre-stressed concrete bridge.
The bridge, spanning 1,584 metres, will be constructed at a cost of Rs 263.88 crore.
Soren also unveiled 12 other projects totaling Rs 26 crore and distributed assets worth Rs 52.80 crore among 69,631 beneficiaries.
"The government is dedicated to enhancing the state’s infrastructure," Soren stated.
He highlighted the bridge’s significance in developing the Santhal region’s road connectivity with Dhanbad.
The bridge is expected to halve the travel distance from Jamtara to Nirsa and spur tourism and job creation.
"Our actions reflect our promises," Soren emphasized, detailing government initiatives for societal welfare.
He outlined efforts to ensure water supply for agriculture, aiming for year-round irrigation.
The total investment in these developments amounts to Rs 340.95 crore.
"We’re committed to the holistic development of Jharkhand," Soren concluded.
