Tribal Languages to be Taught in Primary Schools, Orders Jharkhand CM

Jharkhand CM Champai Soren orders the introduction of tribal languages in primary school curriculum to preserve cultural heritage.

RANCHI – In a significant move to preserve tribal heritage, Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren has directed the inclusion of tribal languages in primary schools. 

The directive was issued during a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s Residential Office in Ranchi. 

Officials have been instructed to integrate these languages into the curriculum for classes 1 to 5. 

This initiative aims at the promotion and development of tribal and regional languages. 

Soren emphasized that this is a top priority for his administration. 

The process of hiring period-based expert teachers is to be expedited. 

These teachers will spearhead the introduction of tribal languages in the classroom. 

Education Department senior officials were part of this pivotal meeting. 

Chief Minister’s Secretary Arwa Rajkamal also attended the meeting. 

Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, and Backward Class Welfare Department Minister Deepak Biruwa was present. 

The meeting took place on March 9, marking a step towards enriching the state’s educational offerings.
