Elderly Man Dies in Pearl Apartment Blaze, Sister Hospitalized with Burns

A tragic fire at Pearl Apartment in Ranchi’s Chutiya area results in a fatality and leaves an elderly woman with severe injuries, prompting an ongoing investigation.

RANCHI – A devastating fire early Saturday morning at Pearl Apartment, Ranchi, claimed the life of an elderly man and critically injured his sister.

The blaze was first spotted by neighbors, who noticed smoke emanating from a second-floor flat.

Authorities were promptly notified, leading to swift action from the fire department and police to extinguish the flames.

Despite their efforts, 75-year-old Zultan Surin perished in the fire, while his sister, 80-year-old Jolen Horo, was found severely burned.

Immediate medical attention was provided to Horo, who was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Investigations suggest the fire may have been caused by a short circuit, though official causes are still under review.

Police have informed the family and are meticulously investigating to determine the exact cause of the tragedy.
