Nitin Gadkari Approves 4-Lane Elevated Corridor for Jamshedpur’s Traffic Ease
Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has sanctioned a substantial amount of Rs. 936.26 crore for the construction of a 10 km long 4-lane elevated corridor. This infrastructure project aims to significantly improve traffic flow and safety in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, by developing a section of National Highway-33 (New-18) between Kalimandir, Dimna Chowk, and Baliguma into a single elevated corridor.
JAMSHEDPUR – A major infrastructure upgrade is on the horizon for Jamshedpur with the approval of a Rs. 936.26 crore project to construct a 10 km 4-lane elevated corridor along the National Highway-33 (New-18).
This initiative, set to transform the Kalimandir-Dimna Chowk-Baliguma section, aims to segregate local traffic from through traffic, enhancing safety and reducing congestion within the city.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari emphasized the corridor’s importance in accommodating the city’s growing traffic demands and ensuring smoother travel for residents.
