Saryu Roy Announces Cost-Effective Infrastructure Project
In a strategic move set to transform the traffic dynamics of Jamshedpur, MLA Saryu Roy has spotlighted the impending construction of a bridge over the Swarnarekha River, marking a significant step towards alleviating congestion in Mango and facilitating smoother connectivity. With an estimated cost of Rs 77 crore, significantly lower than the initial Rs 170 crore due to Roy’s efforts, this initiative underscores a cost-effective approach to infrastructural development in the region.
JAMSHEDPUR – Saryu Roy Roy has criticized the hefty Rs 252 crore expense for the Mango flyover.
He has proposed more economical solutions to the city’s traffic woes.
The bridge’s construction promises to redirect heavy vehicles directly to Litti Chowk via NH 33.
This redirection is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion in Mango.
The project’s cost has been notably decreased to Rs 77 crore from an early estimate of Rs 170 crore.
Roy credited this reduction to his direct intervention.
He expressed confidence that administrative approval would be secured before the Lok Sabha elections.
The Central Designing Organization has already recommended the project for approval.
Roy emphasized the bridge’s role in enhancing road connectivity within his constituency.
He also mentioned a 2.5 km bridge connecting NH 33 to Litti Chowk in his plans.
"The project exemplifies commitment to judicious financial management and public welfare," remarked one of his supporters.
Another supporter shared, "This bridge is a long-awaited solution to our daily traffic nightmares."
