XITE Gamharia Illuminates International Women’s Day with Vibrant Celebrations

The week-long International Women’s Day celebration at XITE Gamharia concluded on March 7th with a significant event organized by enthusiastic student volunteers and faculty, emphasizing the college’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and empowering educational environment.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a grand culmination of International Women’s Day celebrations, XITE Gamharia showcased an array of activities designed to celebrate women’s achievements and advocate for gender equality.

The event, elevated by the presence of Tata Steel Foundation’s Mrs. Neha Kumari as the chief guest, featured a diverse lineup of artistic and intellectual expressions.

Highlights included a rap performance by Amrit Singh and a dynamic ramp walk, drawing attention to the college’s rich pool of talent and its dedication to gender equality.

Dr. Swati Singh, at the helm of the organizing team, remarked, "This event is a reflection of our collective endeavor to create an academic environment where every student can thrive, irrespective of gender."

The initiative’s success underscored the vital role of student volunteers, who, under faculty mentorship, orchestrated an event that resonated with the spirit of inclusivity and empowerment.

In a heartwarming tribute, female faculty and staff were acknowledged with tokens of appreciation, celebrating their invaluable contributions to the institution.

Performances ranged from Economics 2nd-year students’ skit to musical renditions, all reinforcing the theme of gender equality.

The evening concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, spotlighting individuals who excelled in the ramp walk and in the painting and poster-making competitions, fostering a culture of recognition and encouragement.
