President Draupadi Murmu’s visit to Ranchi underscores the significance of academic achievements, marking her presence at the Central University convocation ceremony.

RANCHI – President Draupadi Murmu’s arrival in Ranchi on Wednesday morning aboard a special Indian Air Service plane sets the stage for a distinguished visit to the Central University’s convocation ceremony.

Welcomed with a Guard of Honor at Ranchi Airport amidst the presence of Jharkhand’s Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, DGP, and several IAS and IPS officers, her visit highlights the importance of educational excellence and governmental support.

During her brief stay at the Central University in Manatu, Ranchi, spanning one hour, President Murmu is slated to attend the convocation ceremony, subsequently heading directly to Birsa Munda Airport for her journey to Odisha.

This visit not only honors the academic accomplishments of the students but also emphasizes the role of education in national development.

Security measures have been significantly heightened along the route from Ranchi Airport to the Central University in Manatu, with over 1000 soldiers deployed and road access tightly controlled until the President’s convoy has passed.

Such stringent security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of this high-profile visit, reflecting the importance attached to safeguarding dignitaries and maintaining order during significant events.

At the heart of the convocation ceremony, President Murmu will confer the Chancellor’s Medal to three exceptional students and award Gold Medals to 58 of the 67 graduating students, including 32 women, acknowledging their outstanding academic achievements. This gesture not only celebrates the meritorious performances of these students but also serves as an inspiration for future scholars to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.

To accommodate the President’s program, the Central University has been meticulously organized into five zones, each overseen by IPS officers to ensure top-tier security. Such elaborate preparations underscore the significance of the event, aiming to create a conducive and secure environment for the celebration of academic excellence.
