JAMSHEDPUR – A series of burglaries struck Gauri Shankar Road in Jugsalai, Jamshedpur, with thieves targeting six homes and making off with valuables worth over ₹2 lakh.

The audacious thieves exploited the heatwave conditions to carry out their crimes.

Residents had left their doors open due to the sweltering weather, inadvertently providing easy access to the burglars.

The criminals executed their plan between 1:00 AM and 4:30 AM, moving from roof to roof.

Initially, they entered a tenant named Sujit’s house through an open door.

Subsequently, they targeted the home of Iqbal Ahmad, a jeweler and stone trader.

From there, they pilfered two mobile phones, ₹3,000 in cash, and even an eighth-grade textbook.

Moving on, the burglars entered Hardeep Singh Bhatia’s neighboring house.

They descended the stairs and stole a mobile phone from the bedroom.

Next, they invaded Jitendra Singh’s residence, absconding with a charging mobile phone.

The thieves then scaled a five-foot boundary wall to access Charan Das’s room.

There, they snatched another mobile device before proceeding to Laxmi Devi’s house.

After securing Laxmi Devi’s gate, they entered Mohammad Aslam’s home via the roof.

From Aslam’s residence, they breached Akhtar’s house and stole yet another mobile phone.

Finally, the burglars targeted Pappu Singh’s house on Kali Sthan Road, stealing one more mobile phone.

Surprisingly, despite a formal complaint filed on Friday morning, the Jugsalai police have yet to take action.

Moreover, the authorities haven’t even visited the affected homes to conduct an investigation.

This apparent lack of response has left the victims feeling frustrated and vulnerable.
