Cyclist V. Varte’s Ride for Clean Air Promotes Sustainable Living

Tata Steel collaborates with Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board to support the ‘Ride to clean air’ cycling tour, aiming to boost environmental awareness.

JAMSHEDPUR – V. Varte’s cycling initiative, part of Mission LiFE, seeks to educate on air pollution control, emphasizing bicycle use and electric vehicles for a sustainable future.

His journey commenced in Aizawl, traversing over 2250 km through cities like Agartala and Guwahati, and arrived in Jamshedpur today.

Ranchi and Shillong were among the cities Varte visited, advocating for cleaner transportation options.

He plans to continue his campaign to Kharagpur and Kolkata, eventually heading to South India.

The aim is to encourage short commutes by bicycle and support electric vehicle adoption to mitigate air and noise pollution.

Tata Steel, along with Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board and ISWP, endorses Varte’s mission towards a ‘Clean and Green Sustainable Lifestyle.

Ram Pravesh Singh of the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board inaugurated the tour at JRD Tata Sports Complex, acknowledging Varte’s significant contribution.

The collaboration underlines the collective endeavor to promote environmental health and sustainable practices across India.
