Suryadham Sidhgora Witnesses Spiritual Awakening with Grand Kalash Yatra
Over 5,000 devotees join a vibrant Kalash Yatra in Jamshedpur, marking a unique blend of devotion and tradition in a grand display of faith and cultural heritage.
JAMSHEDPUR – A vibrant procession filled with devotees marked the commencement of the 11-day ritual for the fourth anniversary of the Shri Ram Temple’s establishment at Suryadharma Sidhgora.
Officials and members of the Sun Temple Committee, including Amarjeet Singh Raja, Shailesh Gupta, and many others, actively participated.
The committee’s Chairman Bhupendra Singh expressed his gratitude towards the devotees for their overwhelming participation.
He announced the upcoming Shri Ram Katha starting February 23, with a renowned Katha Vyas from Ayodhya Dham.
The temple and surrounding areas were adorned with colorful lights in anticipation of the event.
Chandragupta Singh highlighted the confluence of devotion seen in the preceding events and the Kalash Yatra.
An 11-day ritual celebration includes a grand city tour and musical Shri Ram Katha at the Shankh Maidan.
Devotees participated in a sacred circumambulation around the Yagyashala following the Kalash installation.
The Vedcharyas performed Panchang Puja, signifying the consecration of life, with five couples partaking in the ceremony.
Prasad distribution followed the completion of the Panchang Puja rituals.
The Kalash Yatra concluded at the Sun Temple complex where the Kalash were placed around the Panch Kundiya Yagyashala.
Devotees started the day at Bagunhatu football ground, where water was collected for the Kalash from Donga Ghat.
The procession featured captivating tableaux of deities, led by priests bearing saffron flags.
Over 5,000 women, carrying Kalash and coconuts, joined the procession amidst music and dance.
The event was a testament to the community’s devotion and cultural heritage, bringing together people of all ages.
