Bitotsav 24 Theme Unveiled at BIT Mesra

BIT Mesra releases the theme for Bitotsav ’24, “Mati: Essence of Soil,” signaling a celebration of cultural roots and heritage.

RANCHI – The Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, hosted a significant event on February 17, 2024, marking the theme release of Bitotsav ’24, a prominent cultural festival in Eastern India.

The ceremony took place in the scenic Upper Lawn and Inner Circle of the campus, attracting students, faculty, and distinguished guests.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to the Institute’s Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Bhaskar Karna, alongside Associate Deans Dr. Praveen Srivastava and Dr. Yogendra Aggarwal, and faculty coordinators, setting a tone of anticipation and excitement.

Dr. Amit Saran, the coordinator of Bitotsav ’24, played a pivotal role in organizing the event, supported by co-coordinators Dr. Sumit Srivastava and Mrinal Pathak.

The unveiling of the festival’s theme, “Mati: Essence of Soil,” was marked by a ceremonial ribbon cutting, symbolizing the beginning of a journey back to cultural roots and heritage.

Dr. Bhaskar Karna uplifted the spirits of the attendees with a motivational speech, extending his best wishes for the success of the upcoming festival.

Bitotsav ’24 is scheduled to take place from March 14 to March 17, promising a blend of cultural performances, artistic expressions, and a showcase of talent from across the region.

The theme “Mati” reflects a deep connection to the earth and underscores the importance of returning to one’s roots, celebrating the essence of soil as a foundation of culture and tradition.

With the official theme announcement, preparations are now in full swing, setting the stage for what is anticipated to be a vibrant and memorable celebration of cultural diversity and artistic talent.
