JAMSHEDPUR – Thieves struck a locked house in Sakchi, stealing jewelry and valuables, leaving the family devastated.
The incident occurred in the Sales Tax Colony of Sakchi. The homeowner, Arvind Kumar Sinha, reported the theft to Sakchi Police Station. According to him, the family had left for the market, locking the house for two hours. Upon their return, they found the house ransacked and the window broken.
Robbery Details and Investigation
Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against unknown persons. Sinha described the scene, saying, “The grill lock was opened, the window was broken, and valuables were missing from the almirah.” The police are currently examining the crime scene and checking nearby CCTV footage for leads.
Family’s Ordeal
The family members, who had stepped out for a short while, returned to find their belongings scattered across the house. The loss includes gold and silver jewelry, which they estimate to be of significant value.

Residents of Sales Tax Colony expressed concerns about rising thefts in the area. Many have called for increased police patrolling to prevent further incidents.
