JAMSHEDPUR – A grave incident occurred on Friday afternoon near Girdhari Hotel in the area under Chandil police station’s jurisdiction, involving Aftab Siddiqui, the MLA representative for Congress leader and former minister Banna Gupta. Siddiqui’s vehicle struck a cow that unexpectedly entered the road, causing the car to overturn and resulting in the cow’s immediate death at the scene.
Siddiqui, who was en route to a swearing-in ceremony in Ranchi at the time of the accident, sustained severe injuries.
Following the crash, he was promptly transported to Tata Main Hospital (TMCH) for medical attention.
The accident prompted a swift response from the Chandil police, who arrived on site to commence rescue operations.
