Timings of Jamshedpur Private Schools Changed Due to Scorching Heat; No Change for Govt Schools

Jamshedpur private schools’ timings changed to 6:30-11:30 am amid rising temperatures. Parents’ concerns addressed, Government schools’ hours remain unchanged.

Jamshedpur – In response to rising temperatures and concerns for students’ health, the timings of all private schools in Jamshedpur have been changed. These schools will have a different operating hours, effective from Tuesday.

Private Schools in the city will now be open from 6:30 am to 11:30 am to avoid the hottest part of the day.

Parents had been urging the schools to change their timings, as the scorching heat was causing health issues for the students.

Consequently, the Private School Association held a meeting and decided to implement the new schedule.

However, government schools in the city will continue to operate from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, as no changes have been made to their timings.

The District Education Officer Nirmala Kumari Barelia stated that the Education Secretary has directed that government school timings shall remain unchanged.
