JAMSHEDPUR – A distressing incident unfolded last night near Mango Chowk, under the jurisdiction of the Mango police station, when an auto rickshaw veered off its path and struck three individuals, including the proprietor of Jagannath Medical.
The victims, identified as Sushant Sahu, the shop owner from Sakchi Ramlila Maidan, and his employees Gunu and another unnamed staff member, were standing in front of their closed medical shop around 10 p.m. when the accident occurred.
Following the crash, the auto driver fled the scene, leaving the victims injured.
Authorities later confiscated the auto, bringing it to the police station as part of the ongoing investigation.
The injured parties received medical attention at a private nursing facility, where they recounted the harrowing experience.
They reported that the vehicle approached at high speed, lost control, and collided with them, with the entire episode captured on CCTV.
This footage played a crucial role in enabling law enforcement to identify and apprehend the auto driver.
