CSIR-NML Promotes Science, Energy Literacy with Student Visit
CSIR-NML’s Jigyasa Virtual Laboratory project welcomes Chakradharpur Kendriya Vidyalaya students for lab visits, exposing them to innovation and research.
JAMSHEDPUR – A group of 139 students and seven teachers from Chakradharpur Kendriya Vidyalaya were hosted by CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML). The school group’s lab visit is part of CSIR-NML’s Jigyasa Virtual Laboratory project.
Dr. K Gopala Krishna, Chief Scientist, MTE division, addressed students emphasizing the role of forward-thinking solutions in ‘Futuristic Living.’ The day featured DIY science demonstrations and educational visits to laboratory facilities like the library and museum.
Dr. Animesh Jana, Senior Scientist, outlined the Jigyasa program’s mission and discussed CSIR-NML’s research initiatives. Dr. Sandip Ghosh Chowdhury, Chief Scientist, welcomed the group and showcased CSIR’s contributions to national technological advancement.
