The Weather Center Ranchi predicts light to moderate rainfall across Jharkhand from February 12, issuing a yellow alert for thunderstorms.

RANCHI – The weather pattern in Jharkhand is set for a change starting Monday, with the Weather Center in Ranchi forecasting varied conditions over the next few days.

After a mostly dry Sunday with partly cloudy skies, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder is expected across different parts of the state from February 12.

A yellow alert for thunderstorms has been issued for the period of February 12 to 14, signaling caution for possible severe weather.

Residents are advised to stay indoors or seek safe shelter during thunderstorms, especially those in the forecasted areas.

In Ranchi, the temperature is anticipated to range between 14℃ and 27℃, with partly cloudy skies initially, followed by light to moderate rain and thunderstorms until February 14.

Looking ahead, February 15 and 16 could see light rain with thunder in some regions of the state, continuing the unsettled weather pattern.

The recent weather review reveals a cold wave in western districts and dry conditions elsewhere, with Chaibasa and Garhwa recording the state’s highest and lowest temperatures respectively.
