Chunu Munda has been detained by the police, with the actual assailant, his father, currently absconding.

The incident, a result of an earlier assault on Chunu Munda by Piru Munda, spiraled into a deadly attack.

Dipali Munda and Kulo Munda were fatally attacked in their sleep by the assailant with a sharp weapon.

Piru Munda and his son Sidhu Munda, who tried to intervene, were grievously injured in the attack.

The police acted promptly, arriving at the scene, and ensuring the bodies were sent for post-mortem.

The injured are receiving treatment at the Ghatsila Subdivisional Hospital, highlighting the severity of their wounds.
